    Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist - A licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT). provides professional therapeutic services to individuals and groups that involve the application of family systems theories and techniques. Services may include marriage therapy, sex therapy, family therapy, child therapy, play therapy, individual psychotherapy, divorce therapy, mediation, group therapy, chemical dependency therapy, rehabilitation therapy, diagnostic assessment, hypnotherapy, biofeedback, and related services.

  • Yes! We are ONLY providing virtual therapy/ telehealth sessions at this time.

  • Short Answer, you as the Client will be on your phone or computer talking to the therapist from your personal location while the therapist will be on their computer at their own personal location.

    According to the Occupations Code Chapter 111, “Telehealth service" means a health service, other than a telemedicine medical service or a teledentistry dental service, delivered by a health professional licensed, certified, or otherwise entitled to practice in this state and acting within the scope of the health professional's license, certification, or entitlement to a patient at a different physical location than the health professional using telecommunications or information technology.”

  • 1. Once your appointment has been confirmed, you will receive an email with instructions to complete intake and consent paperwork. The email will also contain the unique link to log onto the Simple Practice platform for the HIPAA Complaint video session.

    2. Please be sure to have the paperwork completed at least 12 hours before the session.

    3. You can test the link before the session to make sure your phone, tablet, or computer will work properly with the platform. Contact us if you have any problems.

    4. During your session, consider where you will be. It’s best practice to be in a space where you have privacy, can speak freely, and are without distractions or interruptions. We’ve had sessions with Clients who were in their car, the garage, or even their closet. Feel free to be creative and safe.

    5. Lastly, it might be helpful to jot down or journal your thoughts before, during, or after the session. Feel free to bring something to take notes with.

  • Our sessions are scheduled for 53 minutes. During the first session, the Therapist will verbally go over the paperwork you electronically signed and provide answers to any questions. The session will then be open to talk about whatever you would like to talk about. You will have an opportunity to share what you would like to get out of your therapy experience. Your therapist will listen to you, ask you thoughtful questions, show compassion, and offer tools that could be helpful for your needs. At the end of the session, you will be invited to schedule your next session.
