We understand that therapy is an investment, and we want to help make it as accessible as possible. Jacqueline accepts Aetna and UnitedHealthcare, but please note that her schedule is currently full, and there may be a long wait before a spot opens up.
To start therapy sooner, we encourage you to book with one of our other skilled therapists, who are private pay only. If cost is a concern, you may still be able to get reimbursed through your insurance if you have out-of-network benefits. We recommend checking with your provider, and to make the process easier, you can use Mentaya, a platform that helps clients get reimbursed for out-of-network therapy. You’ll find more details on how it works on our Services page.
If you’re unsure about your benefits or need guidance, we’re happy to help point you in the right direction. Our team is here to support you—don’t wait to get the help you need!

We have partnered with [@joinmentaya](https://www.instagram.com/joinmentaya/) to help clients use their out-of-network benefits for potential reimbursement on therapy!
What are out-of-network benefits? Here's a breakdown:
✨ If your insurance plan offers out-of-network benefits, it means they will cover a portion of the cost when you see a therapist who doesn't have a direct contract with your insurance company.
✨ Unlike in-network providers, who bill your insurance company directly, with out-of-network therapists, you typically pay for the session upfront and then submit a claim to your insurance for reimbursement.
✨ Insurance companies often reimburse a percentage of the therapist's fee, usually after you meet an out-of-network deductible. For example, after you meet a $1,000 deductible, your insurance may reimburse 50-80% of the session cost.
✨ Out-of-network benefits give you the flexibility to choose a therapist based on your needs and preferences, not just those in-network.

1. Once your appointment has been confirmed, you will receive an email with instructions to complete intake and consent paperwork. The email will also contain the unique link to log onto the Simple Practice platform for the HIPAA Complaint video session.
2. Please be sure to have the paperwork completed at least 12 hours before the session.
3. You can test the link before the session to make sure your phone, tablet, or computer will work properly with the platform. Contact us if you have any problems.
4. During your session, consider where you will be. It’s best practice to be in a space where you have privacy, can speak freely, and are without distractions or interruptions. We’ve had sessions with Clients who were in their car, the garage, or even their closet. Feel free to be creative and safe.
5. Lastly, it might be helpful to jot down or journal your thoughts before, during, or after the session. Feel free to bring something to take notes with.

Our sessions are scheduled for 53 minutes. During the first session, the Therapist will verbally go over the paperwork you electronically signed and provide answers to any questions. The session will then be open to talk about whatever you would like to talk about. You will have an opportunity to share what you would like to get out of your therapy experience. Your therapist will listen to you, ask you thoughtful questions, show compassion, and offer tools that could be helpful for your needs. At the end of the session, you will be invited to schedule your next session.
